Welcome to Human Encounters, Yorkshire
PHILIP AND SUSAN OFFER A PERSON CENTRED APPROACH TO BOTH REHABILITATION AND
COUNSELLING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS.
Human Encounters are a professional counselling and rehabilitation service. We offer counselling services specialising in depression, anxiety and panic attacks, bereavement, relationships, family counselling and supporting people with sight loss. We work with individuals of any age.
We use various therapies such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), coaching, creative therapy and group work. We draw from a range of approaches to provide the right support for you.
We are passionate about every aspect of our work and aim to provide you with individual and tailored support. An important quality for us is showing unconditional positive regard, allowing our clients to be ‘who’ they are.
Our services are made accessible to all by offering counselling sessions from Ryedale, home visits and skype counselling.
We believe people are their own best resource and have within themselves their own motivation; we endeavour to help people tap into these qualities, enabling them to move forward. Confidentiality is taken seriously; we are here to help.

“The counsellor took our son on as she found him and worked through his problems as they arose. She gave her time to listen to our story. The counsellor listened (and we felt cared) to our troubles and helped us look at our feelings and ways of dealing with them”
It is a privilege to make a difference and impact on the lives of our clients and this is evident through feedback that we receive. (Read more here..)
